/ The Method
A structured method designed to be tailored.
PRINCE2 Project Management provides a structured approach to managing projects while allowing the method to be tailored to the organisation, project and delivery context.
Version 7 combines seven principles, seven practices and seven processes with greater emphasis on people, sustainability and the realities of working with digital information and data.
Principles
Seven guiding obligations that support effective application of the method and help distinguish a PRINCE2 project.
Practices
Seven aspects of project management that need to be addressed throughout the life of the project.
Processes
Seven connected processes that describe the progression of a project from before initiation through to closure.
Tailoring and context
PRINCE2 is intended to be adapted to the scale, complexity, delivery approach and environment of the project rather than applied mechanically.
/ Foundation and Practitioner
Two levels. Different learning outcomes.
Understand the method
PRINCE2 Project Management Foundation
Foundation develops understanding of the PRINCE2 Project Management method, including its principles, practices, processes, roles, terminology and how the elements work together.
Suitable for people who need a structured understanding of PRINCE2 and the language used within a PRINCE2 project environment.
Apply and tailor the method
PRINCE2 Project Management Practitioner
Practitioner develops the ability to apply and tailor PRINCE2 to project scenarios and make appropriate decisions about how the method should be used in context.
Designed for project professionals who already meet an accepted Practitioner prerequisite and need to demonstrate application rather than recall alone.
Foundation and Practitioner can support different stages of project management development. The appropriate pathway depends on the learners, programme objectives and existing qualifications.
/ How Andrew Trains
Frameworks matter. What people do with them matters more.
Understand it.
Frameworks should make sense. Andrew explains the logic behind the method rather than asking people to memorise terminology.
Work with it.
Learners discuss, question and apply ideas throughout the session. Learning is something they participate in, not something delivered at them.
Use it.
Examples, exercises and discussion connect the framework to real projects, decisions and working environments.
Training that travels back to work.
/ Version 7
Project management is about more than process.
People
Version 7 places greater emphasis on the people involved in projects, including leadership, collaboration, communication and organisational change.
Sustainability
Sustainability forms part of project performance and encourages consideration of environmental and social responsibilities alongside established project objectives.
Digital and data
The method recognises the role of digital technology and data in contemporary project environments and decision-making.
Flexible application
Tailoring remains fundamental so that the method fits the project rather than forcing every project into the same operating model.

For Organisations/ PRINCE2 Delegate Feedback
Bring the method to life.
“Andrew engaged with the class well and kept the learning material interesting by applying it to his own real world experience, but also using our own experiences to make it more relatable. He balanced the group and individual exercises well, allowing us to share our knowledge with one another and test our own understanding of the course content. He made himself available throughout the course to answer any questions that we had.”
14 published PRINCE2 Project Management testimonials
PRINCE2 feedback repeatedly highlights Andrew’s use of practical examples, clear explanation, learner participation and the connection between the method and delegates’ own project experience.
